In an amazing display of batting ability, Smriti Mandhana wrote his name in the annals of Indian cricket during the second ODI against them South Africa at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday (June 19)
Choosing to bat after South Africa’s decision, Mandhana, following his 117 strikeout in the previous game, produced another impressive innings, reaching his century in just 103 deliveries. His innings, studded with 12 fours and two sixes, not only strengthened India’s innings but also showed his ability to overcome the opposition’s bowling attack. The milestone also made him equal with the former Indian captain Mithali RajThe record for ODI centuries by an Indian woman, both boasting seven centuries.
