Ind vs NZ 1st Test – WTC – Rain washes out India’s training session on the eve of the Bengaluru Test

The weather took almost half the playing time of India’s last home Test, in Kanpur against Bangladesh two weeks ago, but India still managed to win the match with quick runs and some impressive bowling. New Zealand’s tour of the subcontinent also had weather issues – their first Test of the tour, a non-World Test Championship (WTC) match against Afghanistan in Greater Noida, could not be played, despite the lack of play. Proper drainage in the area played as big a role as the weather in what happened.
