India thrash South Africa in 3rd T20I to level women’s T20I series

Women of India ruled the third and final T20I of South African women’s tour of India 2024they secured a convincing 10-wicket win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and leveled the series.

Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, India Women showed some amazing bowling character. Pooja Vastrakar emerged as the wrecker-in-chief, claiming a stellar 4/13 spell in just 3.1 overs. The list of South African batsmen has been reduced by pressure, only one left Tazmin Brits (20 runs) and Anneke Bosch (17 runs) managed to cross the ten-figure mark. The entire team combined for a paltry 84 runs in 17.1 overs. Other Indian bowlers, incl Radha Yadav (3/6), entered with important sticks, limiting visitors to a below average number.

Smriti Mandhana is taking India on a tightrope

Answering, the Indians opened, Shafali Verma again Smriti Mandhana, put together a match-winning partnership. Verma hit a quick-fire 27 runs off 25 balls, while Mandhana powered the chase with 54 runs off 40 runs, including eight fours and two sixes. Their unbeaten stand of 88 runs ensured that India chased the ball comfortably in 10.5 overs, showing their batting efficiency.
