Ambati Rayudu picks AB de Villiers next
While speaking to Star Sports, Rayudu shared his thoughts Tristan Stubbsa promising young cricketer from South Africa, currently representing Delhi Capitals (DC) of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Rayudu expressed his confidence in Stubbs, and suggested that he has the potential to reach the same level of greatness as the legendary De Villiers. He praised Stubbs for his excellent performance with the Capitals, highlighting his amazing ability to adapt to different deliveries and deliver powerful shots, which made him the best player this season.
“Tristan Stubbs is a well-rounded package. He bowled a good over the way he’s bowled this season – he bowls all lengths, from the short ball to the fuller. He is also very good compared to the slow ones. I feel that you have an amazing talent. He is one of those South Africans in the position of AB de Villiers. I think he has a long way to go. But, he looks too good to be as good as AB de Villiers,” Rayudu said.
