In the revelation after the game, the 23-year-old player revealed the secret of his power hitting, saying this is because of his hockey background. Stubbs explained that playing hockey in his formative years had a big impact on his hitting style. He emphasized the similarity of the hand movements required when using a hockey stick and a powerful shot in cricket.

“I think at the beginning you get the basics in hockey and I practice a lot because you know you have to do it, it just takes courage to connect and play. The way I turn my hands so that the spin and the seam is like I’m holding a hockey stick, so it has to come from there.
