IPL 2024 [WATCH]: Devisha Shetty enjoys the excitement as Suryakumar Yadav brutally attacks Marco Jansen

Suryakumar Yadav showed a masterclass in batting during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 matching in between Mumbai Indians (MI) again Sunriers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday (May 6). The way he played lit up the show, not only attracted the audience but also his wife Devisha Shetty, with his exceptional cricket skills and ability at the crease. Suryakumar showed his dominance against SRH’s ace seamer Marco Jansenespecially in one memorable spot where he plundered twenty runs off the boundaries.

In the crucial seventh over, as Suryakumar tries to stabilize MI’s innings on the side. Tilak Varma, a meeting with Jansen of SRH took place. Jansen began his journey by delivering a well-directed length, just above the pad, which Suryakumar brilliantly hit through mid-on, using a deft bounce.

Undeterred by the challenge posed by Jansen’s pace, Suryakumar unleashed his attacking instincts on the next delivery, hitting the ball down the ground with power and precision, ensuring that it raced along the turf for another boundary.

Jansen tried to change his approach by bowling a full length ball across the seam, off the sixth stump. However, Suryakumar’s confidence and skill did not diminish as he leaned in and sent the ball with a loud slap.

Devisha Shetty’s precious reaction

In the next delivery, Suryakumar again showed his creativity. Preparing for the delivery, he moved to the stumps early, expecting a length ball aimed at mid-off. Despite seeming to fall short early on, Suryakumar was undaunted, showing incredible timing and style as he shot down the ramp with finesse, sending the ball over the boundary six times.

This unusual shooting did not only catch Jansen and the SRH captain Pat Cummins unaware but it also sparked a wave of joy among the spectators. Among them was Suryakumar’s wife, Devisha, who was sitting in the stands, enjoying her husband’s amazing display of stroke-making skills.

Rule vs. Jansen

During the delivery of the last over, Jansen made a slight mistake with his line, and bowled the ball that went wide. This gave Suryakumar a good opportunity to spend money. Awaiting a clue, Suryakumar adjusted his posture, crouched slightly as he prepared to face the challenge.

As the ball approached, Suryakumar quickly adjusted his position and unleashed a controlled shot, guiding the ball to fine leg with precision. The shot was fired with a flat trajectory, ensuring that it cleared the boundary comfortably in another six and thus Suryakumar accumulated 20 runs from the boundary in the over.

Mumbai Indians win: Close win

The incredible innings of Suryakumar, who scored an unbeaten 102 off just 51 deliveries, displayed a wonderful combination of powerful yet graceful batting skills. His innings, adorned with 12 boundaries and six towering sixes, enthralled the crowd and left the opposition in awe which eventually led to a stunning seven-wicket win for MI.
