IPL 2024 [WATCH]: RCB’s Mohammed Siraj, Virat Kohli and Karn Sharma join in the conversation after DC’s big win
In the 62nd game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 47 runs, thus keeping their hopes of playing alive.
Sent in to bat first, RCB opted for an aggressive batting style. Despite this, DC managed a strong recovery in the last five overs, conceding only 49 runs and taking 5 wickets, restricting RCB to 187/9 in total. Although RCB’s score fell well short of the expected 200 runs, they still posed a serious challenge to DC. In their chase, the DC batsmen struggled against RCB’s bowling and were bowled out for 140 runs in 19.1 overs, failing to reach the target.
After the win, the dressing room was electrifying, with jubilant celebrations among the RCB players. Amidst the commotion, the teammates joined together to sing the RCB anthem, promoting a sense of unity and harmony. In a video posted by RCB, Mohammed Siraj appeared to praise his team’s return to the tournament. However, his statement, ‘the batsman has the bat, and the bowler has the bowl,’ was left out Karn Sharma confused. He asked for clarification from Siraj, who failed and refused to explain. This led to a funny conversation between Sharma, Siraj, and Virat Kohli. Kohli jokingly suggested that Siraj should say he only sees the stumps. The hilarious interaction ended with Sharma teasing Siraj by imitating his ‘Siuuuu’ celebration. This exchange left Kohli and Sharma laughing.

It sits 5th in the points table, RCB should continue to put in a lot of effort and rely on good results to ensure a top four finish in the league stage. RCB will face an important game Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 18, when they should get an important victory.
