IPL 2025 – MS Dhoni among CSK reserve players along with Gaikwad, Jadeja, Dube, Pathirana

October 31 is the deadline by which ten franchises have to submit their list of retained players for the IPL before the big auction. Clubs are allowed to retain up to six players ahead of a major auction ahead of the 2025 season, of which up to five can be international players and two can be uncapped players. While the IPL has set a minimum deduction from the auction fund for each player caught – INR 18 crore for the first player, INR 14 crore for the second player, INR 11 crore for the third player, INR 18 crore for the fourth player, INR 14 crore for the fifth player, and INR 4 crore for the uncapped player – the franchises are free to pay more or less than those prices for their reserve players.
