Irani Cup 2024: Ruturaj Gaikwad to captain Rest of India as BCCI announces 15-member squad
I Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member group that the Rest of India (RoI) will face Iran Cup. The prestigious match will be held at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow from October 1 to October 5., where the RoI group will deal with Ranji Trophy 2023-24 who are the champions of Mumbai.
Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the Rest of India team
Ruturaj Gaikwad he was named captain of the Rest of India team. Gaikwad just took the lead India C of Duleep Trophy 2024where his team reached the final. His leadership qualities and recent form make him the ideal candidate for the role. Meeting him will be Abhimanyu Easwaranvice-captain, and key players from the domestic circuit.

The 2nd Test will start on September 27. Sarfaraz Khan who was retained from the Team India squad for the 2nd Test, will be released to represent the Mumbai team subject to his exclusion from the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur,” said the BCCI in a statement.
Rising stars and players from Duleep Trophy
