Jason Whitlock has criticized the comparison between LeBron James and Muhammad Ali made by Dan Le Batard.
Whitlock described Le Batard’s claim that LeBron is “the modern-day Muhammad Ali” as ridiculous, saying, “As an activist” LeBron is facing a lot of insensitivity.
In X, Whitlock argued that unlike Ali, James did not face significant opposition as an activist. He added, “Ali faced/confronted his opponents. LeBron manipulates them and pays people to produce content that supports him. “
Whitlock also pointed out that Ali is “affiliated with a religious organization,” contrasting LeBron’s lack of religion, adding, “LeBron couldn’t spell church or faith.”
