Jeff Peterson to Charles Lee: “I really hope he’s a good person and coach to lead us forward”

Charlotte Hornets Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Jeff Peterson felt he made the right decision to hire Charles Lee as head coach when he spoke with ownership.

“It was a talented group, some of them were candidates. I got to the point, and I told Gabe [Plotkin] and Rick [Schnall] like, ‘I’m sitting here trying to figure out why we’re not hiring you.’ And I felt good about that in terms of looking at my work and figuring out why we didn’t go that route.
