Jose Mourinho is tipped to sign the Crystal Palace man on a transfer deal

The former manager of Chelsea and Manchester United, Jose Mourinho, is preparing to search for a Premier League player to join his club Fenerbahce.

Mourinho joined Fenerbahce this summer to begin a new journey in his managerial career.

The Portugal manager is preparing his team for the new season by looking for new faces in the market.

Fenerbahce are reportedly interested in Crystal Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma, according to a Turkish media report.

With two goals in five games during the Copa America, the Colombian number 8 at Crystal Palace has been the standout player.

According to a report from Sporx, Fenerbahce are chasing the Colombian player, and this week, representatives from the Yellow Canaries will visit England to negotiate a deal with Crystal Palace.

There are rumors that Lerma’s representative will attend these meetings.

Lerma made 31 appearances and scored one goal against Crystal Palace last campaign.

Crystal Palace should keep Lerma at the club

His contract with the Eagles expires in June 2026, however the London club have an option to extend the deal by another year.

It would be a huge loss for Palace if they continue to lose Lerma this summer as he was one of their best players last season.

Manager Oliver Glasner has made an encouraging start to his tenure at the club and it is important for the Eagles to keep their top players at the club.
