In the final round, the Italians held to love and seemed to have the momentum, but the Czechs held on to love. The game remained even until the Czech broke out in a long game 3– everything is held by love 5-3. The Italian managed to hold on and fought hard in the final game. It took three match points for the Czech to win.

In his press conference after the match, Paolini said: “Yes, today it is difficult to talk now. Yes, it’s been a really good two weeks. I have to accept today and try to work hard. I’m sure I will, but today it’s hard to talk because I was close but not enough.

Today I was dreaming of holding the trophy but it went well. Yes, I am enjoying my current position, 5 in the world. Unbelievable, honestly. I just made two finals in two Grand Slams. I should be happy with the results too. And, I’m a little disappointed, yes. “

Paolini said about his opponent’s game: “Yes, I think he served better than me.” I also think he can move the ball very well. He can take great angles with shots. He is a complete player. He is very beautiful.

Yeah, I think he was a little bit I think he was close to the line with respect to me. I was a little, especially the first set, back on the court a lot. He was taking the ball early, and he was moving me.

But then I tried to serve better and tried to push more. It was a bit slow, but still he was playing very well I think. His level of service was better than mine, I think.”

In her press conference after the match, Krejcikova said: “I’m very happy that I won today, yes, that I was able to lift the trophy. Yes, it’s a great feeling.”

The new Wimbledon champion said he did not know why the tournament. “I mean, I played a tough draw in the first game. I would go with the game. I was feeling better and better.

Yes, I mean, I’m here. I don’t know how that happened. But, yes, I won this race.”

Krejcikova was asked when Wimbledon became her dream: “It’s hard to say. I mean winning any slam is great. Winning here at Wimbledon is huge for me.

But I wouldn’t really say it was like my dreams when I was very young. I have a little notebook that I wrote while I was there, like, 12. I don’t know, maybe three, four months ago I was writing in that notebook.

I had that in the future, like back when I was there 12, I wrote that in the future I would like to win the French Open. So, it was a big dream for me to win the French Open.

To be honest, maybe things changed a bit when I met Jana and when she told me all the stories about Wimbledon, about the grass, how hard it was for her to win the title and how sad she was when she won. it.

I think that’s when I started to see Wimbledon as the biggest tournament in the world.”
