LeBron James and Steph Curry Feud Was ‘Real’ Inside NBA Insider
LeBron James and Steph Curry’s relationship has just blossomed before our eyes, but things haven’t been going well between the two.
LeBron and Steph teamed up for the first time at the Paris Olympics to win gold for Team USA and it was great.
But, things were very tense between the two over who was the best player in the world, The Athletic’Sam Amick recently revealed.
“I was really happy to see him [Curry] and LeBron especially enjoyed each other like they did (at the Olympics) because we were in all those Finals where – I don’t care what LeBron says now – it’s not that they’re hostile towards each other, but they were rivals,” Amick said. 95.7 The Game. “Their fans always didn’t like the way another player was being talked about.
“LeBron’s people didn’t like it when people started calling Steph the best player in the world, and there was real tension. And then there were the moments on the court, right, where LeBron, at his greatest size, resembled Steph and made sure the world saw him as small and like a small, small boy. That dynamic was real.
“So, to go from that to these guys clicking and having a great time together was kind of something I never thought I’d see.”
The couple who met at the Olympics will probably not be repeated, as the next games will be held in 2028 in Los Angeles.
However, Curry dropped some secret hints about being real teammates with Bron in the future.
“We hope there will be a lot more happening in the future, whether we’re partners or not,” Curry said of his Olympic performance with the Lakers’ big man.
