LeBron James chose not to exercise his $51.4 million player option for the 2024-2025 season with the Los Angeles Lakers. Instead, he is expected to re-sign with the Lakers under a new contract.
The new deal could include a no-trade clause, which he wouldn’t be eligible for if he opted in and signed an extension. James has the potential to receive a contract worth up to $160 million over three years.
