Leicester are in talks to sign the Arsenal winger
Leicester City will reportedly hold talks with Arsenal over a loan deal for Reiss Nelson that could include an obligation to buy.
The 24-year-old signed a new four-year deal at the Emirates Stadium last summer but has played just 257 minutes of Premier League football in 2023/24, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard the preferred options for manager Mikel Arteta.
Nelson has been linked with a move away from Arsenal since the summer transfer window opened, with West Ham United among the interested parties.
Fabrizio Romano Reports suggest that newly promoted club Leicester have opened talks with Arsenal over a potential loan deal, leading to an obligation to buy if the two clubs can agree a suitable financial package.
The Foxes are believed to be hoping to build on Nelson’s partnership with new manager Steve Cooper – the pair worked together at England youth level – and the offer of regular first-team football could also be a key factor in talks.

Nelson may not be the only striker to leave Arsenal this summer. Academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe has been targeted by Fulham, while Eddie Naketiah, who like Nelson has signed a new long-term contract in the hope of being given regular minutes by Arteta, has been strongly linked with a move to the Ligue 1 giants.
