Leicester City have reportedly refused to let goalkeeper Daniel Iversen leave the club after a number of Championship sides made attempts.
With the window closed after a quiet summer for Premier League clubs, English clubs now have to start the season with their crop of players.
Newly promoted Leicester City are doing their best to strengthen their squad with key players like Odsonne Edouard who joined on loan and Oliver Skipp who arrived from Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent deal.
But the Foxes have also been reluctant to let anyone leave with the club reportedly turning down goalkeeper Iversen’s deadline day according to journalist Alan Nixon on his Patreon.
“Leicester City hit a big price on goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on deadline day – and cost him a move.” He said.
The report claims that a number of Championship clubs have made enquiries, but all were hit by his price increase from £1.5 million to £4 million on the final day of the window.
The Foxes are still searching for their first win of the Premier League season after losing to Aston Villa on Saturday following last weekend’s loss to Fulham.
Steve Cooper will have his work cut out for him especially with the clash with Arsenal awaiting him at the end of the month.
