Liverpool are in talks to sign Aurelien Tchouameni and Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid
Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign Aurelien Tchouameni and Rodrygo Goes from Real Madrid.
According to TBR Football, they have held talks with the Spanish giants regarding the two players.
The report claims that Liverpool have spoken to the Spanish club about signing the two players but have not come up with an official offer. Real Madrid has made it clear to this English team that these two players are not for sale and Real must stop their work.
Chouameni was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during his time at Monaco. The Reds were keen to secure his services at the time but the player chose to join Real Madrid instead.
Although he hasn’t been a starter for them, he is still an important part of their plans going forward and could develop into a world-class midfielder for them in the long term.
There is no doubt that the French player is an amazing talent with a bright future. Liverpool could use a quality midfielder like him. They have struggled in that department since Fabinho left and it remains to be seen if they can bring someone in.
Liverpool tried to sign Martin Zubimendi during the summer transfer window but the Spaniard chose to stay in La Liga instead.
Liverpool could use Rodrygo
At that time, they could use a strong striker like Rodrygo. The Brazilian can operate anywhere in the front three and can add goals and assists to the side.
With Darwin Nunez struggling to score consistently and Diogo Jota being injury prone, Liverpool could use another quality forward like him.
However, both players won major trophies with Real Madrid and it is unlikely that they will want to leave the Spanish club anytime soon.
Liverpool brought in Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa this summer. It has been a difficult window for them and they should have signed a quality defender and defensive midfielder. It will be interesting to see if they can address their weaknesses when the January transfer window reopens.
