Liverpool have also revealed that they will sign Palace CB
There is reportedly a growing feeling that Liverpool could strike a late deal for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.
The Reds were also mentioned as interested in Guehi in a report from Athletic earlier today, and now there is another little nugget from the Express as they say there is a sense that this deal could be considered later in this transfer window.
The Englishman has been a key player for Palace in recent times, showing that he is a top player in the Premier League and someone who can step up to the next level with ease.
It remains to be seen if this deal will go through as it seems the signs have not arrived so far, but the player’s profile could make sense for the Merseyside giants, so it would be worth keeping an eye on him.
The Express add that there is some resignation within Selhurst Park that Guehi or another key player may have to leave, despite the Eagles having already sold Michael Olise to Bayern Munich earlier this summer.
Guehi would be ideal to provide LFC with a long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk, who is still young and has undoubtedly shown signs of a dip in form with points last season.
There could be other options out there, with Sporting Lisbon’s Goncalo Inacio also understood to be on Liverpool’s radar.
