LPL 2024: Fixtures, Stream and Live Stream Details | Lanka Premier League

I Lanka Premier League 2024 (LPL)which is organized by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, is expected to start from July 1 to July 21. This cricket tournament will include five teams that will compete in many places, including R. Premadasa Stadium, Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. .

Format and special features

Each team will play four other teams twice in the league stage, followed by the playoffs, which will result in 24 games. A unique feature of the tournament is the introduction of two “power-blast overs” during each innings, in the 16th and 17th overs, allowing a maximum of four players outside the 30-yard circle.

Groups and changes

Participating parties B-Love Kandy, Dambulla Sixers, Jaffna Kings, Galle Marvels again Colombo Strikers. The Dambulla franchise, which was initially acquired by Imperial Sports Group and renamed Dambulla Thunders, has undergone significant changes after its owner Tamim Rahman was arrested on match-fixing charges. The franchise was taken over by Sequoia Consultants through DeSilva Holdings and renamed Dambulla Sixers. Further, Galle Titans were renamed as Galle Marvels after being acquired by Cricket Marvels LLC, owned by Prem Thakkar.
