Man United looking to sign ‘dynamic’ midfielder Erik ten Hag
Manchester United are now looking to make their third signing of the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have already signed striker Joshua Zirkzee and defender Leny Yoro, with the Premier League giants now expected to shift their focus to bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford.
Casemiro, Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen all face uncertain futures at the club making it all the more important for Erik ten Hag to bring in a new midfielder.
Man United have also decided against the option of signing Sofyan Amrabat permanently from Fiorentina.
However, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Man United may move to re-sign Amrabat this summer but on loan, as they did last summer.
The 27-year-old played 21 Premier League games for the Red Devils last season.
He failed to secure a regular place in the starting line-up but showed his brilliance towards the end of the season and helped the club win the FA Cup against Manchester City.
At the end of last season, Man United had the option to sign Amrabat on a permanent move for £17 million but decided not to exercise that option.
The Premier League giants are unwilling to pay Fiorentina’s asking price for the midfielder.
The Italian club now value Amrabat at £12.6m but the Red Devils are keen on a loan move for the Moroccan.
Man United boss likes Sofyan Amrabat
United manager ten Hag called the defensive midfielder “very strong” when the Red Devils completed a move to sign him last summer, as quoted by the club’s official website.
He would be happy to have him back in his team as the club needs a new addition in the midfield.
Amrabat has the ability to play in midfield as well as at the back which could be useful for the Premier League club.
