Marcus Morris and the Knicks signed a contract

The New York Knicks have signed forward Marcus Morris to an Exhibit 9 contract, a deal that is not fully guaranteed unless he earns a spot on the Knicks’ opening night roster.

This move gives the Knicks flexibility while giving Morris a chance to earn a role with the team during training camp and the preseason.

Morris, a 13-year NBA veteran, spent last season split between the Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers. For both teams, Morris averaged 6.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 16.7 minutes per game, contributing as a solid bench player.
