Throw it India he chose to hit vs Bangladesh

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and elected to bat in the fifth T20I against Bangladesh, on a sunny afternoon in Sylhet. India lead 4-0 and will be looking for a sweep. Harmanpreet said the team wanted to “exercise themselves with the stick” after trailing in two of the last three games.

Bangladesh made three changes to the team that played the rain-hit fourth match on Monday with Sobhana Mostary, Sultana Khatun and Fariha Trisna replacing Habiba Islam, Murshida Khatun and Marufa Akter. This meant that the athletes were going with one fast bowler in Trisna.

Meanwhile, India were fielding the same XI from their previous match, with S Asha and Titas Sadhu getting their second caps in a row, replacing Shreyanka Patil and Renuka Singh.

After rain reduced the fourth match to 14-overs-a-side, a full match is expected today. This is Shafali Verma’s 20-year-old international century.
