Michael Olise is ready to ‘win titles’ with Bayern Munich
Michael Olise is ready to ‘win as many titles as possible’ with Bayern Munich after being announced as a Bundesliga player.
The Crystal Palace star has signed a five-year contract with Bayern and was announced as his latest summer arrival on Sunday. He moves to the Bundesliga after spending three years at Selhurst Park, joining the likes of Harry Kane to switch Premier League sides for Bayern.
Olise, who will represent France at the Olympic Games in Paris, has revealed his dreams of ‘winning titles’ in Germany, and is excited to start his new journey.
He said to group website: “The talks with Bayern were very good, and I’m very happy that now I’m playing for such a big team. It’s a big challenge, and that’s exactly what I wanted.
“I want to prove myself at this level and play my part in making sure we win more titles with our team in the years to come.”
Olise will play under new manager Vincent Kompany, who recently moved to Bayern after leaving Burnley in May. The left-footer is set to be Leroy Sane’s back-up, but could find a place among the starting XI.
Bayern Munich boss Max Eberl shared his plan for Olise, saying he would bring ‘new energy’ to the club.
He said: “Michael Olise is a player who can make a difference and attract a lot of interest with the way he plays. We want new energy in our team, new energy, new ideas – that’s what players like Michael Olise represent.
“During the negotiations, he quickly showed that he really wants to join FC Bayern. We are looking forward to him. He will enrich our game.”
