New York Knicks small forward Mikal Bridges thought he could have handled last year’s playoff loss to the Brooklyn Nets better.

“In the beginning, it was hard in Brooklyn because of the loss. Even mine, I think I didn’t handle it as well as I could have. I always preach mental toughness and never lose your temper, but that was just something I never experienced like that. I think there was just too much in that group when I was there and everyone’s expectations, and I think I didn’t handle it as well as I should have.
