Mike Conley’s Home Burglared, Jewelry Stolen While At Vikings Game

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley’s home was burglarized Sunday while the former All-Star was at a Minnesota Vikings game.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Mike Conley was the guest of honor at the Minnesota Vikings game on Sunday

Conley, who turns 37 on Oct. 11, was the guest of honor at the Vikings game and got permission to sing the Gjallarhorn inside US Bank Stadium, as Minnesota went on to upset the San Francisco 49ers, 23-17.

However, when Conley got home, he realized that his house had been broken into when he saw that his back windows had been smashed. From Paul Walsh of Minnesota Star Tribune:

“The burglary of Conley’s home in Medina happened in the afternoon and was the second of three burglaries that day by at least two unoccupied homes, said Police Chief Jason Nelson. In each incident, the king said, the thieves got away with a yet-to-be-determined amount of jewelry.

“‘Preliminary investigations indicate that all residences were unoccupied at the time of the burglary,’ [the Medina Police Department] said. ‘Access is believed to be gained by breaking windows at the rear of the residences. In all three of these burglaries, jewelry was taken from large bedrooms.’”

Conley’s home may have been previously guarded by burglars leading to the burglary.

In addition, the suspects approached the houses from the back, broke through the ground floor windows, and entered the ground floor rooms. They were carrying the precious stones they had, the thieves had left within five minutes, said the king.

According to Walsh’s report, the perpetrators “may have observed something or found certain patterns” of people whose homes were broken into, Nelson said.

In other words, Conley did not appear to be targeted, rather he was caught in the rich houses that were hit on Sunday. The 18-year NBA veteran has been involved in a string of burglaries in the area recently.

In addition, Conley was sporting the number 10 he wears on the basketball court during Minnesota’s pregame huddle. His home was broken into about half an hour after the Vikings beat the 49ers.

Of course, the Timberwolves did not comment on the theft.

Conley is working in Minnesota as the Wolves prepare for training camp, which opens on October 1. In fact, the Timberwolves open the 2024-25 season at the Los Angeles Lakers on October 22.
