Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray will make his final decision on Monday evening as to whether he will enter the singles at this year’s Championships.
The 37-year-old former No. Tomas Machac on tuesday.

Murray, who was injured while jogging at Queen’s Club a few weeks ago, underwent surgery eight days ago. During surgery, a tumor near her spine was removed because it was causing nerve pain in her right leg.
Murray says the operated area is painless, but he still doesn’t have full feeling in his leg.

“Yeah, I mean, obviously it’s been a tough ten days since the Queen. Obviously, yes, back surgery, which was not a small thing,” Murray told the press at Wimbledon. “Yes, I was trying to do everything I could to try and prepare to start the tournament here. I don’t know if that will be enough.
“I’ve been practicing for the last few days. I played a set today. It went really well, but I’m not 100% feeling and feeling in my leg yet.
“It’s getting better every day. As I said a few days ago, I want to give it every chance I can.”
Murray, along with his team and doctors, must decide if he can compete while at the same time not risking an injury to his back.
“The cyst has been removed. I still have stitches in my back now. Yes, the actual area where I had the surgery does not hurt. The leg and the work of my leg will determine whether I can play or not.”
Murray, shortly after the surgery, told reporters according to ESPN.com, that he felt he had earned the right to make a last-minute decision about whether he would play or not, because of his success at the All-England Club.
“I feel that I deserve the chance to give you until the last minute to make that decision. The level I’m developing at the moment, if that continues, then 72 to 96 hours makes a big difference. It’s complicated, and it’s made more difficult because I want to play at Wimbledon and I’m going to wait until the last minute to see if I can and have earned that right to do so.”

If Murray can’t compete in singles, it is still possible that he will compete against his brother in men’s doubles. Jamie Murray as both men have been given wild cards in this event.
Murray, who still hopes to compete at the upcoming Summer Games in Paris, says he wants to be shut out on Center Court in what could be his last Wimbledon of his career.
The three-time major champion, and two-time Olympic gold medalist from London 2012 and Rio 2016, was asked what emotion or feelings he hopes to have if he plays on the famous stadium.
“Yeah, I mean, I don’t think there’s one thing, that I don’t know, that I trust. Yeah, like I said, when it comes to the end, I don’t know, maybe a little closure. Yeah, I want a chance to play again out there hopefully on Center Court, and I don’t know, to feel that buzz. Like last year, I didn’t plan on it being my last year on tour. I wanted to come back and play again, but this year I am not willing to do that.
“Yes, my career is coming to an end and I want to get that chance to play here again.”
