“We feel like Darnell will be ready for the regular season,” coach Kris Knoblauch said Saturday morning. “We feel like he will be ready to play one game, if not two shows.”

TSN; Montreal Canadiens forward Patrik Laine left last night’s game with a knee injury. He left the field on crutches and knee braces.
“For us, we have to continue and that is what we will do. Will we see if this is short term? Long term? We don’t know. He will be tested and we will continue,” said coach Martin St. Louis after the game. “I hope it’s not too bad.”

Defenseman David Reinbacher also left last night and was walking on crutches with both feet attached to his left knee.
