Paolo Banchero on Magic compared to competitors in Mpumalanga: ‘We are there’

Banchero, like many of his teammates, has worked hard to improve his game this offseason. “We feel like we’re there,” he said. “We are there with all those (high-level teams in Mpumalanga). I remember last year, we started the year as a top-two, top-three seed and everybody thought it was a fluke. Everyone thought we were going to be a playoff team and come out on top in the East. We finished strong and got the fifth seed and had a chance to grab the two seed at the end of the season. We were there last year. We got better this year. I got better; we all got better. We have found some new pieces that will help a lot. We are trying to make noise. We should easily be a team in the top four, top three, and have a chance to win Mpumalanga.”
