For many football fans across Europe, there is just one weekend left of the 2023/24 season.

Depending on how your team does that is a good or bad thing.

Below are the 10 best football teams in Europe right now and, by proxy, the 10 fans who don’t want the current campaign to end…

Atalanta v Juventus - Italian Cup

Having not run for a long time in the last six months, the Juventus players really tried on Wednesday evening and ended up winning the Coppa Italia trophy thanks to their efforts.

La Vecchia Signora tend to have bad blood in 2024, but they were actually very good in the final against Atalanta, relying on defensive strength and Dusan Vlahovic’s goal to earn them their 15th Coppa Italia victory.

Another week and another victory for Galatasaray.

Their 3-2 victory over Fatih Karagumuruk – achieved thanks to a 90th-minute goal from Berkan Kutlu – takes their Super Lig record for the season to:

Bottom four this week due to their 3-0 defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened Mainz.

Honestly, if they had been UEFA Champions League finalists we would have completely knocked Dortmund out of the rankings.

Sporting CP’s Liga Portugal title campaign got off to a strong start at the weekend with their 28th league win of the season.

Their victory over Estoril Praia means that Ruben Amorim’s side have played 19 games without defeat in the league.

That’s incredible.

Say what you want about Arsenal, but you can’t deny that they have done everything they can to win the Premier League this season.

The Gunners’ 1-0 win over Man Utd was their fifth goal at the end of the campaign, which is pretty good form if you ask us.

The odds for Arsenal are that, while they keep winning, so do Manchester City.

The Premier League leaders showed their skills this past week by winning an important match against Tottenham Hotspur with Erling Haaland’s goals.

A win that saw them, perhaps arguably, leapfrog Arsenal in the league table ahead of the final weekend of the season.

Well, they never did.

Instead, they won their last two games by a combined score of 9-0.

They are a ridiculous football team.
