Indian left-arm spinner Radha Yadav needed help during the floods in Vadodara in Gujarat and thanked the National Disaster Response Force for helping her.
“We were stuck in a very bad situation. Thank you very much NDRF for freeing us,” Yadav wrote on Instagram on Wednesday night.
The video in his post shows the surrounding areas submerged in water and rescue workers arriving in a raft. People can also be seen walking through chest-high water.
Many places in Gujarat have been affected by floods in recent days. According to reports on Thursday, 28 people have died and about 18,000 had to be evacuated to safer places due to rain and flood-related incidents.
Yadav is part of India’s 15-member squad for the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, which begins on October 3. India have been drawn with defending champions Australia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand, and they play their first match against New Zealand in October. 4.
