Ryan Garcia was reportedly arrested by Beverly Hills police on charges of vandalism at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in Beverly Hills on Saturday. The story was broken TMZwhich had a video showing the victim being led by the police. TMZ quotes Garcia’s attorney as saying that the suspect, known as King Ry, “was taken by BHPD to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment and from our information, he may be charged with public intoxication.” According to a TMZ report, law enforcement said “a boxer was arrested and taken into custody after allegedly vandalizing property at the hotel, including his room and the hallway.”
The arrest came days after police checked on Garcia at the same hotel. In fact, many have found Garcia’s behavior alarming for some time now. His public comments have veered wildly from honest to bad (quite a contradiction). In addition, he said he drank before his victory over Devin Haney in April, and then tested positive for a banned substance in his system (Garcia declared that he never took the drug voluntarily).
