Josh Inglis achieved a milestone in his cricket career by scoring a 43-ball century during the 2nd T20I of the three-match series against In Scotland for Australia.
Josh Inglis: He’s more of an Australian legend
Inglis put in a strong batting display, hitting seven fours and an equal number of sixes. In a match at the Grange Cricket Club, Edinburgh, Inglis made his way to 103 runs off just 49 balls. His innings produced seven boundaries and seven maximums. The explosive wicketkeeper-batter came to the crease with Australia struggling at 11/1 and quickly changed his form. Inglis made a partnership of 92 runs for the third wicket Cameron Greenwho contributed 36 runs. Inglis’ aggressive approach lit up the Edinburgh crowd as he raced to 28 runs from just 12 balls in the powerplay, with Australia reaching 55/2.
Reaching a milestone
Inglis brought up his fifty in 20 balls and reached his century in the 17th over, taking just 43 balls. Both his fifty and hundred were brought up by sixes, showing his powerful batting. Australia ended up posting a competitive total of 196/4. Inglis was dismissed in the 19th over Christopher Sole. Trying to lift the delivery after a length over the pitch, Inglis was caught at extra cover after the ball hit the top of his bat.

A growing T20I career
Inglis’ century was reached at a strike rate of 210.20, adding another feather to his cap with his beautiful and powerful shot. In 23 T20I matches, Inglis has amassed 600 runs at an average of 31.57, with an impressive strike rate of 161.72. During his innings, he crossed the milestone of 50 fours in T20 internationals.
Before this, Inglis had registered a T20I century against it India. His latest knock took his tally to four T20 hundreds, matching his fifty-five in his T20 career. He has now amassed 3,211 runs at an average of over 29, with a highest strike rate of over 147. Inglis joins the list of Australian batsmen with the most T20I tons, joining Finch (2) and sitting just behind Maxwell, who has five T20I tons. in his name.
