Scottie Scheffler’s team discussion was exploding after the PGA arrest

Professional golfers are just like us. When something out of control happens in their life, their group discussion also starts to blow up.

The only difference is that the “freak” is rarely arrested on national television before going to the second round of a major tournament.

But we’re sure you can find something you can relate to.

You know the story now. Scheffler was tied on the way to his tee time in the second round at the PGA Championship, was released and later shot a 66. Although he finished in contention with a 73 on Saturday and Xander Scauffele ended up lifting the Wanamaker Trophy.

Schauffele, who is friends with Scheffler, did a special episode of GOLF Subpar this week with hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz and shared his perspective on the issue last Friday. At first, he didn’t believe it.

“The thing that hurts him is the golf ball and the feelings of our competitors most of the time. But that’s honestly the extent of the damage Scottie Scheffler can do. He’s a tough guy all around,” said Schauffele. “I thought it was just a game.”

Of course, when the gravity of the situation became apparent, and Scheffler was finally released, that didn’t stop Schauffele and other experts from making fun of the World No. 1. Schauffele and Scheffler share a physio, Marnus Marais, and are inside. the team talks to some of his clients like Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

However, Schauffele did not disclose some of the jabs thrown at Scheffler.

“It was a fun poke. It was not like a ghost. It was fun,” said Schauffele. “I mean, a mug shot is posted, you know, and then somebody changes the name of the group chat, like, ‘Please do it tomorrow, Scottie,’ or something like that.”

Schauffele admitted that they also had a problem coming up with good things.

“We wanted to love peace. And Scottie, when he’s with us, he’s very chill, you know, like, if our table makes fun of him, he’s fine,” Schauffele said. But like, when someone makes fun of him, we look at him like, ‘You can’t say that.’
