Shakur Stevenson Predicts Gervonta Davis Will “Destroy” Frank Martin In Upcoming Fight

Shakur Stevenson, the WBC lightweight champion, predicts that Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis will “destroy” his inexperienced “C-level” opponent Frank Martin on June 15 in their headline show at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Shakur feels that the late start Martin, 29, (18-0, 12 KOs) got into boxing at age 15 has put him behind fighters like Tank Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) and himself, forcing him to play. Find out.

Stevenson says that Martin can only win this fight if he scores, but he sees that as unlikely.

Shakur sees Tank destroy Martin and makes a big deal out of his win, like he did something special instead of defeating a fighter who was never his level in the first place.

Combat Levels

“The way I look at that fight is the levels. There are combat levels. “Tank will go in where he got him, realize he’s not really on his level, and finish him off and feel like he’s on top of the world because he destroyed a C-level guy,” Shakur Stevenson said on Sean Zittel’s YouTube channel, giving his take on the June 15 fight. between ‘regular’ WBA ‘lightweight’ champion Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Frank Martin in Las Vegas.

Shakur has changed his opinion of Martin because he was interested in fighting in the past, but after choosing not to accept money for the fight, he now considers him a “level C.”

Martin has a chance in this fight because Tank will be out of action for 14 months, and no one is facing him at his level. Baltimore native Tank’s most recent victories came against fighters below Martin’s level against these guys:

– Ryan Garcia
– Hector Garcia
– Rolando Romero
– Isaac Cruz
– Mario Barrios
– Leo Santa Cruz
– Yuriorkis Gamboa

“I think he’s fought better fighters than Frank,” Shakur said of Tank Davis. “Actually, I see Frank, and I’m not trying to disrespect Frank because I heard him talking and saying that I hate him. I’m not really.”

Shakur isn’t going to praise Martin because he wants to fight Tank Davis, and it’s not a good idea for him to be badmouthing ‘Face Boxing.’ With the money Shakur can get from fighting Tank, the last thing he needs to do is piss him off and make him not want to bless him on that payday.

Davis’ experience and expertise

“I don’t have anything that I hate about him, but the standards. He [Frank Martin] he started [boxing] at the age of 17. 15, or whatever. It was clear that he started late. He is like a backfighter. Therefore, he should reach all the ages that we have been putting since the youth like. I don’t think there is any way he can [beat Tank Davis].”

Martin showed in his last fight, with his win over Artem Harutyunyan last year, that he can defeat a fighter with more skills and superior amateur pedigree. Frank showed that heart, strength, and determination were enough to defeat a fighter who defeated him at first.

“I think he got the opportunity, which is that everyone in the game of boxing has the opportunity to be a puncher, but that will depend on luck, and I don’t see that happening,” Shakur said of Martin taking out his anger on Gervonta. June 15.

Of course, Martin has the advantage of a puncher, but that’s not all. He has enough skills to win a decision against Tank by working him over in the second half of the contest and taking advantage of his inactivity.

Tank has been out of the ring for a long time, and his feud has ruined his entire eleven-year career. Mayweather Promotions didn’t do Tank Davis any favors by comparing him to cans of tomatoes all these years, and now that he’s finally facing someone who can fight, it might come back to bite him.
