Shan Masood reveals the reason behind Pakistan’s humiliating loss against Bangladesh in the 2nd Test

Pakistan captain Shan Masood expressed his deep disappointment following the team’s 6-wicket defeat Bangladesh in the second Test, which also led to a 2-0 defeat. He pointed out that the team selected four fast bowlers in the first Test to manage the work but they suffered injuries in the 2nd Test, which hampered their ability to maintain pressure on the Bangladesh batting line-up.

“We played four fast bowlers in the first Test, and the reason was that we thought the job would be too big for three people to handle. And that was proven in this game when we lost a fast bowler in each innings. I think that even in this Test match, having three bowlers and two spinners was less, we could have succeeded with another pacer,” Masood explained.

Despite posting a respectable total of 274 in the first innings, Masood lamented the missed opportunities, especially after reducing Bangladesh to 26/6. “We should have done better by having them on 26/6. It’s something we have to work on and fix quickly,” he said.
