Shardul Thakur opens up about the challenges the Indian cricket team faced during the Gabba Test

Indian pacer Shardul Thakur recently shared an in-depth account of the Indian Cricket team’s historic win at the Gabba Brisbane, marking the final Test of the India Tour of Australia 2020-2021. Thakur’s revelations shed light on the struggles the team has faced, both on and off the field.

Shardul Thakur reveals the challenges of the Indian team

During the interview session, a fan asked about the emotions following the big win at the Gabba. Shardul responded candidly, revealing the many challenges the team has endured, “The way they treated us was very bad for four or five days. There was no room service at the hotel. If you wanted to change the bed sheet, you had to climb four or five floors to get it yourself, even when you were tired.“

Shardul also discussed the Queensland governor’s comments expressing reluctance to host the Indian team, adding pressure with negative words, “From Sydney to Brisbane, we heard the lady of the governor of Queensland say that if the Indians don’t want to come, they don’t come. We do not want to receive them, or we do not receive them with joy. There are many negative things said about us that put us under pressure.”

Shardul is accused Tim Paine lying, saying he lied that no pressure was used and that they fulfilled all the demands,”I heard an interview from Tim Paine. That man was really lying because he was saving himself by making things up in the media, covering up that he didn’t put pressure on the Indian team and giving us whatever we wanted.”

Injuries and problems faced by the Indian cricket team

Shardul explained that again Ravi Shastri again Virat Kohli he had gone and often clashed with the Australian Cricket Board to get the necessary support,”Our coach, Ravi Shastri, and Virat Kohli were gone. Ajinkya Rahane was leading the way. Both of them were constantly fighting with the Cricket Board of Australia to get the things we needed.”

In the end Shardul said the tour was challenging with many injuries, incl Navdeep Saini again Natarajan. In the last innings, Mohammed Siraj and I bowled nine overs each and ignored the Australians after the victory, “The whole journey was difficult. Injuries kept happening.
