Ben Shelton he has worked very hard to improve many aspects of his game in 2024. That’s why he was able to win the title on Houston clay, and reached the semifinals three times on tour. A raw talent with great work ethic and an explosive game, he is always working to perfect his skills.
Asked what he is currently focusing on in DC, where he reached the quarterfinals with a 7-6 7-6 victory. Brandon Nakashima, Shelton responded with a question: “What’s my break percentage?” he said.

Coming back is the only thing Shelton wants to improve.
“I want to work on my volleys, to come forward, to attack the style of the game, my front,” he said. “My movement is something that has improved a lot this season. Coming back is an episode I’m working on too.”
The American will face Denis Shapovalov in the quarterfinals at the Citi Open on Friday.
