Stoke Park reopens with Masterplan – Golf News

Stoke Park, which has been largely closed for the past three years, welcomes golfers back to play their historic Harry Colt course for the first time since the venue changed ownership.

The Buckinghamshire-based luxury hotel, golf and country club closed its doors to members in 2021 after being bought by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, who has invested heavily in the 300-acre property.

Although the club will not return to a membership scheme going forward, golfers and corporates will be able to book rounds on a pay-and-play basis for £125pp, with the Colt/Alison 18-hole course first open from Wednesday. to Sunday so that the course is kept at the highest level.

LIMIT OF GOLFS PER DAY

Stuart Collier, Director of Golf, said: “While we work to deliver the masterplan for Stoke Park’s future, our world-class 18-hole course is now open for general play, as well as golf coaching and special golf events. “

“We limit play to 30-40 golfers per day for the five days the course will be open, with 15-minute breaks between tee times to ensure our guests enjoy a peaceful and relaxing day.”

He added: “For golfers who may want to play here more often we offer points-based packages, where an individual or company buys a bunch of green fees and can use them whenever they want. to a friend or colleague. The course will also be available to book for exclusive use for corporate golf days or charity events.”

As well as the opening of a new bowling studio, the venue’s Pavilion, with a spa and 28 guest bedrooms, has been completely refurbished, and future plans for Stoke Park include the restoration of the Grade I-listed historic mansion, the construction of seven-star hotels, and the construction of a new clubhouse. .
