England’s batsmen have rebuilt after an early collapse

However, Jonny Bairstow (31) and Harry Brook (47 not out) steadied the ship with a valuable partnership of 56 runs. Brook, in particular, impressed with his hard hitting, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes in his 20-ball innings. Moeen Ali (16) and Liam Livingstone (13) played crucial cameos to lift England to 122 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 10 overs.
Namibia has a huge deficit
Namibia’s chase got off to a slow start as they struggled to score freely against England’s direct attack. Michael van Lingen (33) was the only standout, hitting three sixes while hitting 29 balls. David Wiese (27) also played an important hand with the quick-fire batting, but occasional wickets hampered Namibia’s progress.
Just as Namibia began to show momentum, the game was stopped by rain, forcing the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method to come into play. With 126 runs in 10 overs, Namibia need a strong finish. However, they failed, they managed only 84 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their allotted overs.

Harry Brook won the best player award
Brook’s unbeaten knock was instrumental in England’s win, and he deserved to be awarded the Player of the Match award. This win kept alive England’s hopes of advancing to the Super 8 stage. Now, they have to pray for Australia’s victory over Scotland in the upcoming match.
