T20 World Cup 2024: Rohit Sharma responds to Inzamam-ul-Haq’s ball-tampering allegations against Arshdeep Singh

Umpires should always keep their eyes open (to see) these things…If it was Pakistani bowlers (back-spinners) this would be a big problem. We know how to reverse and if Arshdeep can come in the 15th over and start to reverse the ball, then there is a lot of hard work ahead,” Inzamam had said on a Pakistani news channel.

Strong opposition from Rohit Sharma

The Indian captain refused to accept any part of the allegations leveled by left-arm spinner Arshdeep, who was superb during India’s 24-run win over Australia in St Lucia. Responding to Inzamam’s allegations of ball tampering, Rohit insisted that if the ball did not reverse swing under these conditions, where would it be, given that the Men in Blue do not compete under conditions similar to those found in Australia or England. .
