T20 World Cup [WATCH]: Tim David makes a stunning catch on the run to dismiss Ben Shikongo in the AUS vs NAM match

Game 24 of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 the middle face is inserted Australia again in Namibia at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. Australia won the Group B match, securing a comprehensive victory by 9 wickets.

Tim David’s performance is exceptional

While the match featured some impressive performances, especially from the Australian bowling unit, it was Tim DavidAn amazing performance that caught everyone’s attention. The highlight came in the 17th over of Namibia’s innings, it was bowled Marcus Stoinis.

Stoinis delivered a full ball that was aimed at the batsman’s pads. Ben Shikongo move it back towards the center. It looked like the ball was going to fall into the void, but David was quick to move from the left and make a diving save.

An outstanding bowling display by Australia

Australia displayed clinical precision as they demolished Namibia in their first ever T20I tournament. Mitchell Marsh he won the toss and chose to bowl, with the fast bowlers, or absent Mitchell Starcquickly putting Namibia under pressure.

Leg spinner Adam Zampa he came out as a bowler, taking 4 wickets for just 12 runs, which helped restrict Namibia to just 72. Josh Hazlewood (2/18) and Stoinis (2/9) each got two wickets.

Australia secured a Super 8 spot

The Aussies chased down the target in just 5.4 overs, securing their place in the Super 8s. This defeat resulted in Namibia being eliminated from the tournament. David Warner hit four boundaries from just eight deliveries, Australia’s chase began in earnest. Travis Head held the momentum by hitting two fours and sixes in Shikongo’s third over. Despite Erasmus conceding just six runs in the fourth over, Australia pushed to end the game inside the Power Play. Head then hit three consecutive fours off Trumpelmann, and Marsh sealed victory with a string of fours, sixes, fours, and 86 balls to spare.
