The Arsenal player confirms his exit and accepts an offer from Man United

Arsenal sold Robin Van Persie to Manchester United over a decade ago and some fans may not be over it.

The Dutch striker helped the Red Devils win the league title in his first season and the sale of Van Persie was questioned by all those who did not support Man United.

Now another Arsenal player has left the club after turning down a new contract to move to Man United.

Chido Obi Martin born in 2007 has decided to accept the offer to join Man United, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Obi Martin confirmed his exit from Arsenal via his Instagram account. He wrote:

‘I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone at Arsenal over the last four years. The experience and growth I have gained here has been truly invaluable.

‘A special thank you to the coaches, staff and team mates at the Hale End. The memories made will always be remembered.

‘Thank you again for this trip. I wish everyone continued success and all the best for the future.’

The player has now decided to join Man United as he has full faith in the ongoing project at Old Trafford.

As reported by Romano, he had better offers from other clubs but his heart was set on a move to Man United.

Obi-Martin joined Arsenal from Denmark’s Kjobenhavns Boldklub.

Chido Obi-Martin has left Arsenal and is on his way to join Man United.

At the age of fifteen, he played for Arsenal’s U18 team, showing off his goalscoring skills.

Arsenal have lost a striker who played for Man United

Last season he scored ten goals in one game for Arsenal U16s against Liverpool when the Gunners beat the Merseyside club 14-3.

Another memorable moment came against Norwich at the U18 level when he scored seven goals in a 9-0 win.

It would be a huge loss for the Gunners to lose a player like this but their loss is Man United’s gain.

They got another striker who knows how to score goals and his record speaks for itself.

The striker still has a long way to go to reach the first team but the signs are encouraging.
