The BCCI and Cricket South Africa announced the schedule for the four-match T20I series in November

India will once again face South Africa as the two giants of cricket have confirmed a four-match T20I series scheduled for November 2024. The announcement, was made jointly Cricket in South Africa (CSA) as well as Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)marks the second year in a row that India has visited the rainbow country.

CSA and BCCI expressed excitement about the upcoming series

The series will begin on November 8 at Kingsmead Stadium, Durban, the same venue where rain washed out the T20I in India’s 2023-24 tour which ended in a 1-1 draw. The tour will move to Gqeberha for the second match on November 10. The final two T20Is will be played at the Highveld, while Centurion will host the third match on November 13, followed by the series finale at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on November 15.

Lawson Naidoo, Chairman of the CSA, appreciated the “wonderful camaraderie and exciting cricket” brought by the Indian visitors. He also emphasized the joy of South African fans to see the amazing talent in both teams.

“I would like to thank the BCCI for continuing to support South African cricket, and international cricket. Any Indian cricket team’s trip to our shores is full of amazing engagements and exciting cricket, and I know our fans will be eagerly awaiting this series which will showcase the incredible talent of both teams,” Lawson Naidoo, Chairman of CSA, in his official statement.

BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, went on a speech, highlighting the “deep and strong relationship” that India has with South Africa. He recalled the great appreciation the Indian teams received from the South African fans, a feeling echoed by the Indian fans at the Proteas. Shah also expressed confidence that the series will showcase the best of cricket and deliver exciting, high-quality tournaments.

“India and South Africa have always shared a deep and strong relationship, something both nations are very proud of. The Indian cricket team has always received a lot of admiration and love from South African fans, and this feeling is equally strong among Indian fans towards the South African player. on the side. I am sure that the upcoming series will once again highlight the quality of cricket on the field and deliver exciting, high-quality tournaments,” said BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

  • November 8: 1st T20I, Kingsmead Stadium
  • November 10: 2nd T20I, St George’s Park
  • November 13: 3rd T20I, SuperSport Park
  • November 14: 4th T20I, Wanderers
