The incredible statistics highlight Harry Kane’s new role in the England team

Surprisingly, Harry Kane only scored twice in the first half of his side’s European Championship game against Serbia on Sunday.

England will face Serbia in the Group C match at Schalke as they are determined to put themselves at the top of their group.

It took the Three Lions just 13 minutes to break the deadlock after a simple but painful move down the right.

Picking up the ball in the middle of the park, Kyle Walker played a through ball past Serbian defender Bukayo Saka before Arsenal’s defenders floated through Jude Bellingham’s power.

The Three Lions went into the break one goal down after a good 45 minutes but one half-time score stood out above the rest.

Despite his team winning the first half against Serbia, the England captain only registered twice which highlights the new role he has in Gareth Southgate’s plans.

Fans are used to seeing the Bayern Munich striker drop into the middle of the park to get on the ball but now with Declan Rice and Trent Alexander-Arnold holding the field behind Bellingham, it allows Kane to lead the attack.
