The Knicks didn’t try to trade Julius Randle
From a numbers standpoint, the Bucks and Pelicans don’t hold a candle to the other teams. The Cavs lost 44 games to injury in the team’s 12 playoff games, making them a staggering 3.5 games per team — the highest such number in the league. Notably, the other top teams on the injury list – the Los Angeles Lakers (3.4) and the Miami Heat (3.2) and the New York Knicks (2.5) – were eliminated from contention. Led by Thibodeau, the Knicks joined the chorus of teams singing “If only we were alive…” to comfort their fans. At the end of the conference semifinals, the Knicks could play all of their starters – Jalen Brunson, Bojan Bogdanović, OG Anunoby, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson – and players ruled out due to injuries, not to mention that Josh Hart was clearly limited by a stomach problem. – Via Yahoo!
