The Reds dropped their first points of the season after losing 1-0 at home to Nuno Espirito Santo’s Tricky Trees.
Despite being the clear favorites to win the game, Arne Slot’s men failed to capitalize before Callum Hudson-Odoi scored on 72 minutes to seal the result.
And while none of Liverpool’s players stand out today, one star has been criticized more than his colleagues.
Mo Salah has criticized a “poor” performance at Nottingham Forest
Winger Mo Salah, who enjoyed a good performance against Manchester United last week, failed to repeat his last game today. The Egyptian star had a disappointing game as his contributions were lacking.
Speaking about Salah after the final whistle, former Crystal Palace defender and Premier Sports commentator Damien Delaney highlighted the 32-year-old’s lack of quality in the final third.
“His decision making was poor today,” he said while analyzing the highlights of this player.
“Go inside, a couple of lost passes, that pocket [of highlights] it would have gone on for another 30 seconds, it was his habit of giving the ball away.”
Salah is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool. Failure to reach an agreement to extend his terms will see the striker eligible to discuss a pre-contract with clubs outside England from January.
He remains heavily linked with a lucrative transfer to the top of the Saudi Pro League.
