The line-up has been announced for the opening of Euro 2024
Germany and Scotland’s line-up for their first Euro 2024 match has been revealed.
Most of Scotland’s big names are fit to start, with Andy Robertson, Scott McTominay, John McGinn and Kieran Tierney all in the XI selected by Steve Clarke.
Southampton striker Che Adams starts up front, with Lyndon Dykes missing the tournament through injury.
Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie have been named as deep-lying midfielders for the Tartan Army, with Billy Gilmour starting on the bench.
Jack Hendry and Ryan Porteous partner Tierney at center back, with Angus Gunn in goal.

Germany’s home XI is star-studded, with the exciting trio of Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz and Florian Wirtz kicking off the tournament.
Manager Julian Nagelsmann is not short of experience, however, with Toni Kroos in midfield in his last competitive match and Ilkay Gundogan, Joshua Kimmich and Maunel Neuer also available.

The match at the Allianz Arena kicks off in less than an hour at 8pm BST.
‘Respect everyone, fear no one’
Ahead of the game, Clarke urged his Scotland team to ignore the noise when he suggested their biggest games would come in the group stages.
He said: “It’s the opening game of the four-team division, three games, we know what we have to do to qualify and that’s what we’re focusing on.
“Everyone is perfect, flying, wanting to be chosen and ready to go.
“The magnitude of the opening game, however, is a little bit and I hope we don’t get too involved in that.
“It’s a tough game. One of the words I always have is to respect everyone and fear no one.
“We respect the host country, we know they are a good team but I hope we can show everyone that we are a good team too.”
Germany ‘frightened’ by Scotland threat
Meanwhile, German boss Nagelsmann is under no threat from their inferior opponents.
“We used the days well to train well. The boys seem to be in good form,” he said before the game. “We have a dispute but that is the important point. We should have some fear.”
“Scotland are a very good team with four or five key players in their squad,” he said.
“They put in a lot of crosses. They have made great progress in the way they play football. Their mind is really amazing.
“We have more pressure than the Scots. We want to win the opening game. I also want us to believe in ourselves.
“We have good players and we have shown thinking in recent games. We have everything we need and we want to bring it to the field.”
