The line-up has been confirmed for the Euro 2024 Group F deciders

Group news

Czech Republic and Turkey have named their starting squads for their third and final Group F matches at Euro 2024 in a crucial game for both sides.

The big news from the Czech camp is that star striker Patrik Schick is only fit for a place on the bench after his injury against Georgia.

Slavia Prague’s Mojmir Chytil has been named to lead the attack as Antonin Barak also moves into the forward line.

Schick’s equalizer in the Czech Republic’s 1-1 draw with Georgia means he is his country’s top scorer at the Euros with six goals in the final.

Turkey had a chance on goal in their final group game as Mert Gunok returned from injury to replace Altay Bayındır.

Star youngster Arda Guler returned to the starting line-up after being named on the bench against Portugal last week.

Czech Republic XI: Stanek, Coufal, Holec, Hranc, Krejci, Jurasek, Soucek, Provod, Barak, Chytil, Hlozec

Turkey XI: Gunok, Muldur, Demiral, Akaydin, Kadioglu, Calhanoglu, Ozcan, Guler, Yuksek, Yildiz, Yilmaz

Group situation

This is a must-win game for the 1976 champions, the Czech Republic, who cannot reach the round of 16 without a win, although they can finish third in the group.

Turkey will go top of the group if they avoid defeat and finish third if they lose and Georgia do not beat Portugal in the group stage at the same time.

Should they lose and Georgia upset Portugal, Turkey will finish fourth and be eliminated from the tournament.

Group runners-up Portugal will play Austria, who won their group in impressive fashion by beating the Netherlands, in Leipzig on Tuesday.
