It has been an up and down season for West Ham, but one of their most famous players has opened up about a move to the Premier League being his “dream”.
David Moyes will be delighted with the form of Mohammed Kudus this season, the Ghanaian who has tallied 13 goals and five assists in his first campaign in England, per WhoScored.
Technical director Tim Steidten, who Moyes does not appear to be a fan of, deserves a lot of credit for being able to get the 23-year-old’s deal over the line, as well as closing in on his former club Ajax. – partner, Edson Alvarez.
Mo Kudus says it was “a dream” to play in the Premier League
“I enjoyed it [first season in England]. Everyone around [the Club] it helped me settle in, so it was a good experience. I’ve been here almost a full season now, but I still have a lot to show and I believe this is just the beginning,” said Kudus on the West Ham website.
“I followed my gut and my dream of moving here and believed that I was ready. When I decided to move to the best league in the world, I knew I was ready to take that step and I wanted to test myself. There have been ups and downs throughout the season, but I know there are many ways to improve my game. I definitely announced myself here and I’m glad it went that way in the first season.”
It seems that there are rumors that there is a release clause in the player’s contract, although nothing has been officially said about the existence of one.
The Hammers faithful will be on the lookout if Kudus is allowed in after one season, and it is expected that new manager Julen Lopetegui will not get a chance to work with him at all.
